After the success of Nepalese Cultural Evening 2012, Nepalese students of THM are going to organize “Nepalese Cultural Evening-2013” in Frankfurt.
Nepalese Cultural Evening; an event to showcase Nepalese culture, art and food to international audience as well as get-together of Nepalese in Germany is being organized by Nepalese students studying in Technische Hochschule Mittel (THM) Hessen, Germany on Saturday, 2nd March 2013, 6:00 PM onwards at Höchster Hof Hotel GmbH, Mainberg 3-11, 65929, Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Germany. The main sponsor of the event is Höchster Hof Hotel GmbH. The event is supported by Information and Communications Engineering (ICE) department of Technische Hochschule Mittel Hessen (THM), Non Resident Nepalese Association (NRN) Germany, Nepali Samaj Germany and Nepal Pavillon-Frankfurt. The revenue collected from the ticket sales of the program will be donated to support E-education project in Nepal. The pilot project will be officially launched on 30th of March 2013 in Shree Public Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Tilathi-launiya, Saptari, Nepal.
The main aim of the event is as below:
- Raise the fund to contribute in “E-Education” project led by Information Technology Society Nepal (ITS-Nepal)
- Talk program with INGOs, NGOs and other organizations
- Overview and progress of the “E-Education” project
- To showcase Nepalese food and culture to participants and guests
Event is categorized in three parts:
Talk Program: Series of presentations as below:

Other speakers in the event were Prof. Dr. Ing. Dieter Baums, Dean, ICE, THM, Germany and Mr. Kumar Panta, Regional Coordinator-Europe, NRN.
Duration: 2.5 hours (18:00-20:30)
Dinner: Dinner with varieties of dishes with the feel and taste of Nepalese food.
Duration: 1.5 hours (20:30-22:00)
Entertainment and Casual session: The session includes Nepalese folk, modern songs, dances and poem by local talents and students in Germany. The performers were Pratikchya Pokhrel, Samikchya Pokhrel, Nabina Shrestha, Naina Raut, Shreejana KC, Kamal Puri, Yangji Gurung, Suvangi Gautam, Bonash Katwal, Rabin Lamichanne, Manish Khandelwal, Prashant Lama, Santosh Gurung, Anup KC, Sanu Maharjan and Chandra Shrestha. It was followed by DJ session with Rajiv Sapkota and Rabin Maharjan. Rabi Kiran Kafle and Samikchya Pokhrel were Master of ceremony of the event.
